10 tips to save some money
If you need to save some money, here you go a few tips that, if properly followed, will help you a lot in your goal.
Resist impulse buying
Only buy things you really need, things that will be somehow useful for you. We tend to get attracted by any new product that is released, and, if you notice, it’s something completely uncalled-for, specially when the product we’re talking about is a new technological gadget.
Make your payments at sight
As much as stores tell you you can pay in instalments, try to negotiate and ask how much would the product cost if you payed it in cash. You will be surprised on how much the discounts can get when you do this.
Don’t buy what you want in the first store you get in
Before buying something, do some research on the Internet looking for a store that offers you the lowest price on the product you want to buy. There’s no need to rush the buying process, and even if there is, a quick research on the Internet can make a huge difference.
Avoid using your car
Ok, let me explain it. If you don’t have a car, just buy it if it’s really necessary for your life. Otherwise, depending on the city you live in, the public transportation is a better choice. The expenses of having a car are really high.
Divide your salary
You should separate your money into parts for some particular purposes. For example: 10% for saving, 30% for studies, 30% for home expenses and 30% for leisure activities.
Reduce your monthly expenses
It may seem impossible to cut down those expenses, but if you write down all your spending, you’ll see that you’re probably wasting your money on little unnecessary things, that, combined, end up to be a big expense.
Control your expenses
Besides reducing them, you need to control them. It doesn’t matter if it’s a little or a big expense, when you start to manage them correctly, you’ll certainly save some money.
Write down your spending
Cutting down expenses and controlling them is not enough, you have to write them all down. If you do it, it will be much easier to do the first two ones.
Travel on low season
Low season, low cost. I know this sentence sounds cheap, but so does travelling on low season. You can access travel agency websites and calculate the difference.
Bargain
Don’t be ashamed of using this “technique”. The store and the salesperson have more interest on finishing the deal than you have. If you accept the first price the tell you, you will be losing money. Therefore, even if you really want to buy a product, bargain for it first!
